wanting long hair

After a shower I walked out of the bathroom with a towel on my head. Jenna thought it was pretty funny. Then I took it off to towel dry my hair and Jenna was amazed that the length of my wet hair. She asked if she could go in the shower and get her hair wet so hers would grow longer too.

Today was PJ day at daycare. The kids were so excited that they could wear their PJs outside and show their friends at daycare!

roses and thorns

Our family has a long tradition of sharing the best part of our day while talking at dinner. My mom recently shared how actress Angie Harmon has a similar tradition called roses and thorns and each person takes a turn talking about the best (rose) and worst (thorn) part of their day. We tried it last night and the kids liked it a lot.

Then tonight as we were getting ready to sit down at the kitchen table, Jenna turned to me and said, "What was your stick today Mommy?" I smiled knowing she meant thorn.
