Thankfully, the Campbells survived Hurricane Sandy and had minimal damage to our property. The entire family stayed home Monday and Tuesday and slept in the basement Monday night to be safe from possible falling trees. When we emerged Tuesday morning we were surprised that the only damage we incurred was a large tree beyond our property had fallen and poked into the metal mesh of our fence.
The kids were not frightened and rather enjoyed camping out in our basement. But our thoughts are with our family in New Jersey and all of those we don't know but who are struggling in Sandy's aftermath.
