puzzle partners

Tyler and I sure love our puzzles. We brought this one back from Mt. Rushmore for Tyler. Even though it was really more of an advanced puzzle, Tyler worked so hard on the edges and several key areas. Now he zooms through the smaller ones that I get him. He has a bright puzzle-solving future ahead of him!

not our kid anymore

Did our 3 year old really just say, "I'm not your kid anymore!" Needless to say that skipping a nap didn't work out well.

bathroom trip

It is inevitable right? We're headed to dance class and as soon as she has all the gear on (leotard, tights, skirt, hoodie and shoes) a trip to the bathroom is in order!

Tyler is ready for a fun Friday at school!

Jenna's most favorite things are rainbows! So much so that when I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween, her response was "a rainbow!" I found this tutu on Etsy and she loved the idea of being a rainbow ballerina. Here is the sneak preview.

patio project

Our new patio is such a wonderful addition to our home. We love relaxing and eating outside now that we have another outdoor "room." We also love being closer to the kids and Ruby as they run around and play in the fenced backyard.

Got to have a special conversation with Tyler's teacher this morning since he was the first in his class "to reach purple," which apparently is a very good thing. I'm so thrilled that Tyler is so in love with learning and school!

We headed to Tennessee to visit our good friends, the Redmons, and catch a Gators v. Vols SEC football game (Gators won 37-20!). What a fun weekend!

This bear was Tyler's originally but Jenna has now laid her claim to it and deemed him a her. She named her Snuggle Bear just like Tyler's Snuggle Bear from Granny.

best workout

Best workout ever! Not in terms of calories, but company. It was the first time Tyler had the stamina and interest in joining beyond the first ten minutes. I still remember him diving through my legs during lunges when he was much smaller! Got to love his enthusiasm for a challenge.
