Seven years ago this day I married my best friend, but today we (along with our two beautiful children) are watching the long-awaited movie -- Cars 2! Furthermore, it is Jenna's first theater experience and my and Tyler's first 3D experience. So exciting!

Ms. Debbie had the day off so I took kids to the Naval Academy to see Oma's work and to dine at The Alley on the yard. The kids loved the "pirate ships" and ran around the place yelling, "AARRRGGGH!"

As we were leaving the kids (well, Tyler really) talked me into going up in a tall gazebo. Soon a day camp of about 80 boys walked by and Jenna proudly waved her hand while calling out, "Hey guys!"

Jenna's locks are getting long and I don't have the heart to cut her hair. She only tolerates headbands for about an hour and barrettes require constant adjusting. So pony tails it is!

On our evening walk with Ruby Tyler asked why we have God. I certainly didn't think I would be explaining God (in specifics anyway) with a four year old. What happened to 'How do you spell CAT?'

I hadn't prepared my thoughts so somewhere in my fumbling answer I mentioned that God provides us with rules or laws to live by. Tyler's response, "I thought that was the police." He is a quick one! I went on to explain the difference between moral and civil law. When do the questions get easier? Ha!

Driving the kids to daycare one morning, Tyler and Jenna announced that they were best friends and they actually held hands. It was a really touching moment in between the normal bickering.

Jenna hasn't mastered Ruby's name yet. It started as "Roofie" which thankfully evolved into "Foofie." I will be a little sad when she is finally able to say Ruby's name correctly.
